The refuse produced nineteen Medal of Honor recipients who charged machine-gun nests, held hills alone against human-wave attacks, and died covering the retreat of their brothers because the one thing disposal-system survivors understand in their marrow is that you do not leave your people behind—because every ancestor you carry was someone who was left behind, and you will not perpetuate the cruelty that made you. The refuse built the kill switch for the planet. And then—because the alloy is not a predator but a *guardian*—it left the safety on. ## The Name So what is the name of this thing? What do you call a civilizational organism forged from the convergent disposal streams of two continents, pressure-selected across centuries of engineered cruelty, fused in a continental crucible that no one intended to become a forge, and now operating at a metabolic intensity that makes every other power on Earth look like it is running on dial-up?
